MOD CONTACT

You can always approach your moderators with questions, comments, and concerns. All we ask is that you allow us time to discuss your questions and provide you with a thoughtful, respectful answer. As mentioned on the FAQ, we aim to have all questions answered under a week, at the most.

For the sake of convenience and organization, we ask that inquiries are posted here, on our mod contact page. Comments are screened for your privacy. If you would prefer an answer via PM rather than a comment reply, please simply let us know. We ask that players refrain from contacting moderators in their official capacity via other channels, including but not limited to:

moderators' personal journals, plurks, or other social media;

or via comments on in-game character journals.

Our DW inbox is also open for questions.

hello again! i've been working on throwing together an automated function for the AC spreadsheet some of us are using, so that i can submit AC painlessly when the time comes. i've tested it out, and i'm getting something like this:

i had three quick questions about this!

1) is it acceptable to change the word "LINK" to the names of the characters involved? this would make parsing things easier on an individual level, but might throw off any automated parsers if you're running those.
2) right now, only post totals are requested on the activity page. is that intended? should we leave point calculation to the mods?
3) sort of related to 2: do we need to worry about a form for "base" activity, or should we just include it in the thread-counting writeup and subtract 200 points from the total?

sorry for all the questions. thanks for your help!

thank you so much! that makes things a lot easier. i have one more question (ALREADY??) and one quick suggestion, if that's okay!

QUESTION: would submitting an up-to-date spreadsheet of this type also be allowed?

i know a few of the players have expressed a desire for something like that. on my end personally (and hopefully theirs soon!), it shouldn't be a question of player effort; i'm coding up the HTML generator for that exact reason! but i know for me, what i linked is a lot easier to go through and check than a list of links (where i lose my place easily).

that said, it opens you guys up to a non-uniform method of submission, so if you guys get on a roll or figure out a quick way to look at a comment, something like this could totally throw you off. it's got positives and negatives, so i'm wondering what you all thought about it. :|a

second, a SUGGESTION: figure out some way to make checking bonus AC easier on you guys!

i don't mean to get nosy/butt into mod stuff, but even with only ~70 characters checking a potential 30+ links per character is a killer. that's a lot of time spent on something that you'll have to do every month, and i know when i was modding non-automated AC drained me out for the entire week around it!

there are a lot of potential ways to go, but one thing to consider is something like ac savior on y'all's end? while it's intended to replace ac, as i understand it'd be easy to just run it and verify approximate bonus totals between ac savior's count and the player's submitted count. (one thing i'm not sure of: whether ac savior checks posts made outside the time window for tags made within it? it also doesn't check inboxes, so you'd have to look at those.)

i hope i'm not stepping too far out with these suggestions: i'm loving the game so far, and just hate the idea of something as simple as ac turning into a monster for you guys!!
